Let's face it: note taking can become a bore after awhile for students. I create "scavenger hunt" note taking sheets for my students for each lesson. This particular sheet is for the cause/effect unit. During the lecture, students take notes by completing their sheets. They then write a paragraph from their notes summarizing what we've learned as their exit ticket.
