Let's face it: note taking can become a bore after awhile for students. I create "scavenger hunt" note taking sheets for my students for each lesson. This particular sheet is for the cause/effect unit. During the lecture, students take notes by completing their sheets. I believe in the power of clear expectations, consistent routines, and meaningful relationships to create a classroom where all students feel safe to learn and grow. My resources reflect a balance between organization and engagement — making teaching smoother and learning more enjoyable.

Throughout my career, I have been honored as a nationally recognized educator, with features highlighting innovative classroom management and student engagement strategies. One of my proudest moments was guiding a cohort of struggling readers to not only meet but exceed grade-level expectations through consistent, structured support — proving that the right environment makes all the difference. I hold a degree in Business Administration as well as a degree in Educational Leadership from Florida A&M University. These experiences have uniquely equipped me to blend organizational strategies with instructional best practices, both in my own classroom and in supporting fellow educators.

Outside of teaching, my life is full and vibrant! I’m a proud mom raising two beautiful girls, and I love spending my time cooking, gardening, running my own seasoning blend business, and enjoying family time. I'm deeply committed to continuous learning — whether that's diving into a new book, developing a fresh resource, or finding new ways to support and uplift fellow educators.
