If you're looking for a fun and different and way for your second grade students to practice adding three two-digit numbers with sums within 100, you'll love this set of 24 riddle task cards and activities! These task cards will get your students THINKING and keep them engaged far beyond most worksheets!
Choosing from four numbers on each card, your students will solve addition equations to determine the elf's secret sum by eliminating three of the options. They'll have a great time and won’t even realize that they’ve solved 72 equations when all of the cards are done!
Here's what this resource includes:
* 24 riddle task cards, printable at four per page
* The same riddles in full-page format. Use them to demonstrate how these riddles work, or solve a riddle together as a lesson warm-up. Or, use the full page riddles on digital devices with your favorite apps
* Student recording page and answer key, to promote student independence

* Themed board game for your math rotations, using the same riddle cards
* Themed 120 chart, to help you differentiate for students who may need extra
