Description
This Google Slides™ Christmas Math Problems resource helps students practice their financial literacy math skills in real-life situations. Skills include: working with whole numbers, decimals to two places, addition, multiplication, division, percentages (10%, 15%, and various), rounding, volume of a cube, and problem-solving. Check out the Preview for a detailed description of these tasks and targeted math skills.

Students complete shopping orders using “online” catalogue pages while solving various math tasks. Great for Sub plans or independent work.
Tasks are differentiated so that you can use different pages and math skills with students who may be at varying levels.
Suggested grade levels depend on your individual students.

✓ A link to access the Google Slides™ Answer Keys - You may choose to use this presentation as a lesson to show the calculations on how the answers are obtained. Or you can allow your students to view the file to correct their own work.
✓ Teacher Tips on How to Use the Student Sheets
✓ Helpful Links - Various articles and YouTube video links are included if you would like some extra information on Google Classrooms, methods for assigning slides, etc.

❖ You will need internet access and a Google Drive™ account in order to access this resource.
❖ You will receive links to access the Google Slides™ in a downloadable PDF.
❖ This resource can be downloaded from Google Slides™ as a PowerPoint file if desired.
❖ This resource was designed to be used with Google Slides™ in Google Classroom™ or through the Google Drive™ (helpful links on how to do this are included). You may share the slides with your students using other methods as long as the Terms of Use are followed.
❖ When you are assigning this activity to your students, ensure that you are logged into the same account in which the resource was originally installed.
❖ Only the top layer can be edited. This includes typing in text boxes and dragging and dropping some ornaments. The background layers cannot be edited.
❖ Depending on your internet connection, it may take a few moments for all of the slides to load up the first time.
❖ The math tasks get progressively more challenging (see descriptions in the Preview). Customize the resource by using the pages you think your students would enjoy and deleting any that seem too difficult or not age-appropriate.
