This Civil Rights Movement map activity reinforces students' knowledge of the 48 continental states while they locate key cities where important Civil Rights Movement events occurred. It's an easy way to incorporate geography into your Civil Rights Movement unit. Students will label, color, and draw on the map and then answer a few questions.

What's included with the print version:

Civil Rights Movement map and directions (2 pages)

Answer key Civil Rights Movement map (2 pages)

I have loved all of the maps by this creator. The lessons are self-contained and that has been really nice for me when I have a sub day or need to work with small groups. However this lesson wasn't as complete as past lessons.

I’m so glad you like using my maps! This is a smaller map activity than my others which is why it’s not as expensive as the others. If there’s something you’d like to see added to the map, please let me know! My email is andrea@musingsofahistorygal.com :)

I love History Gal's maps. They are no prep and easy to incorporate into my unit. My students enjoy the ease of using the powerpoints in order to label and color their own maps. My students always enjoy a nice, quiet day of therapeutic coloring.
