Description
This spreadsheet will allow the teacher to display two analog clock faces and is excellent for teaching how to tell time. With two juxtaposed clock faces, students can compare and contrast times with interchanged hands, such as 12:30 and 6:00 or 9:30 and 6:45. The hour hand is correctly positioned as the minute hand is advanced. The spreadsheet will permit clock arithmetic so that 3:90 will be displayed as 4:30 on the clock faces. If desired, the teacher can copy the images and embed them in other documents.

This an amazing resource! Can't wait to show my Excel class what spreadsheets can accomplish.
This is an amazing use of a spread sheet - I can't wait to teach time next month to my first graders! They'll love this :-)
Thanks for writing, Susanna. I hope your lesson in telling time went smoothly. Spreadsheets can do great things.
Wow! This is an amazing tool. What a great way to help students discriminate those difficult times where the long and short hand get mixed up in telling time. And what a complex use of an Excel spreadsheet. Way beyond my abilities. Thanks much!
Thank you, Jean, for your kind words. Excel is a very powerful tool and can be made to do all sort of interesting things. Good luck with the spreadsheet. Dr. Ed
