Description
This coin activity gradually builds up from concrete to a little more abstract thinking. The activities begin with naming/sorting coins and finally end with creating a set of coins to create a certain amount of money.
As a first-grade teacher, I have seen the need to add avariety of platforms as I teach coins. This will be a fun station activity, whole group activity, or something to add to your online teaching platform. I have added an editable section on the last page if you would like to have more of a handle on the amount of $$ your kiddos are working with.
Tasks Included:
Slides 2-3 : sorting coins (drag and drop)
Slides 4-7: counting sets of the same coins (type in answer)
Slides 7-11: counting mixed coins ((type in answer)
Slides 12-20: counting coins to create an amount of money given. (drag and drop)
Slide 21: you may edit the amount that the child needs to create.
