Fourth Grade Problem Solving - Draw a Picture teaches students how to solve difficult problems by drawing a picture. The four steps of problem solving are used: analyze the problem, decide how you're going to solve the problem, solve the problem, and look back and check. There is a title slide, focus slide, objective, essential question, demonstration on how to use the 4 steps of problem solving and how to use draw a picture to solve the problem, guided practice, checking for understanding, problem solving with word problems, and a reward slide at the end. For best results, students should have white boards and dry erase markers.
