Fourth Grade Problem Solving - Draw a Picture - This is perfect for distance learning on Zoom or similar formats. On top of that it is powerful when used as direct instruction in the classroom. It teaches students how to solve difficult problems by drawing a picture. The four steps of problem solving are used: analyze the problem, decide how you're going to solve the problem, solve the problem, and look back and check. There are 22 effective teaching strategies used in this lesson base on research. For best results, students should have white boards and dry erase markers. Included in this powerpoint lesson are the following:
