Common Core Math Assessment First Grade

Assessment is a crucial part of teaching. Take the guessing out of the Common Core! Assessment allows us to better differentiate and meet the individual needs of each of our students. Each of these Common Core Math Assessments can help to drive your instruction for more meaningful time with your students. These pre and post-assessments can help you to organize your guided math groups as well as help you to show student growth and progress to students, parents and/or administration.

This Common Core Math Assessment pack includes printables for each of the common core standards. Each printable follows a similar format to make it easy for grading as well as to see which part of the common core standard each child is grasping and which part he/she needs extra support on. The printable is clearly marked with the common core standard as well as has an "I can" statement at the top to help students better understand what Common Core standard they are working on. The checklists included in this pack will help you to track common core standards that have been taught and tested. As well as, help you to track student data to see if students have mastered a particular Common Core standard or need extra reinforcement on that skill. There are also checklists to show student growth from the pre to post-assessment which are great to show parents at conference time! All of the checklist are to help teachers document and organize student data as well as help drive your math instruction based on student needs.
