Highly Qualified in Mathematics:
Math is one of my favorite subjects, and always has been. In college, I chose to specialize in mathematics with my education degree, even though I had tested out of any math credit requirements. I loved learning to teach math as much as learning it myself. I am an active participant in district math curriculum and assessment design committees. I am especially well versed in the first grade Common Core State Standards for mathematics. I design my math activities based on the CCSS and their specific criteria. I see many educators and publishers trying to match their previous work to the CCSS. Many of these products claim to “align” with the CCSS; however they do NOT contain the same level of concepts and strategies outlined in the standards. When you purchase my math materials, you can be certain they are not aligned, but designed based on the CCSS by an educator who understands mathematics.

I loved the content of this resource but it was difficult to search through the document to find each standard. I had to make my own table of contents with corresponding page numbers so I could easily access each section. Please consider linking each section in the PDF with a table of contents. Thank you.

This is such a helpful supplement to the math curriculum. We have a math series that needs a lot of supplementing and this is an awesome resource for that. I like the simplicity of the pages.

Order three objects by length; compare the lengths of two objects indirectly by using a third object.
CCSS1.MD.A.2
Express the length of an object as a whole number of length units, by laying multiple copies of a shorter object (the length unit) end to end; understand that the length measurement of an object is the number of same-size length units that span it with no gaps or overlaps.
