This set includes a series of four assessments, as well as an extra (FREE!) practice assessment. Parts 1-4 are designed to assess students’ knowledge and ability to complete math tasks aligned with the Common Core Standards for third grade math. The questions are also meant to follow Bloom’s taxonomy, so the questions in Part 1 are written at a slightly lower level of difficulty, and the questions in each subsequent part get a little harder. Part 4 is the most difficult of the 4 assessments. This gradual increase in difficulty is meant to align with students’ growth over the course of the school year. Personally, I give each part at the end of each nine weeks.

Topics included in these assessments include: word problems, arrays, patterns, sequence, 2 step problems, explaining your answer, rounding, place value, fractions, telling time, bar graphs, picture graphs, variables, number lines, comparing shapes, rulers, mass, measurement, line plots, area, perimeter, estimation, input-output tables, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

All answer keys are included.
