Description

Want to encourage CRITICAL THINKING that supports the Common Core? Supervisors LOVE this!

Standards for Mathematical Practice:
*Reason abstractly and quantitatively
*Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others
*Attend to precision

Here are 14 pages of mistakes that actual students have made in solving math problems. After going into many math classrooms and seeing the same mistakes pop up, I created these Misconceptions documents for the teachers to use so that students can analyze the errors. Students identify mistakes and correctly complete the problems.

This bundle contains Sets A and B which are listed separately in my store.

Some topics include: solving one and two step equations, plotting numbers on a number line, coordinate plane, renaming fractions as decimals, operations with integers, distributive property, operations with fractions, solving two step equations, renaming fractions as decimals and percents to decimals, exponents, ratios, Pythagorean Theorem, proportions and scale, percents of numbers, percent change, and writing inequalities.

The teachers are using them as warm-ups. They have become such a hit, the principal has asked me to create them weekly.

Answer key is included.
