Description

Practice comparing two-digit numbers and using the symbols >, =, and < with this fun group coloring activity!

Here's how it works:

Students work in groups of 4. Each group member gets a different sheet with pairs of numbers to compare. They determine the correct symbol (<, =, or >), and they color the spaces based on the symbol. Once all 4 sheets are complete and assembled, a picture of a panda is revealed!

Students will know if answers are wrong if the picture looks wrong. The coloring helps you and your students quickly spot misconceptions!

The problems in this worksheet set involve 2-digit numbers. Answer keys are included.

My high school English Language Learners enjoyed this activity much more than a traditional color by number. They each had the responsibility to complete their part of the poster, making it feel more adequate for my older students. I needed a way for them to practice multiple problems in a short period of time and this was perfect. They proudly glued their pages to large pieces of construction paper and posted them around the classroom.
