48 task cards! 4 sets of task cards!

Set 1- Independent clause- 12 cards with the subordinate clause. Students are asked to complete the sentence by writing an independent clause.

Set 2- Subordinate clause at the BEGINNING of the sentence (comma needed)- 12 cards asking students to complete the subordinate clause at the beginning of the sentence. The independent clause is already written.

Set 3- Subordinate clause at the END of the sentence (NO comma needed)- This set has the same sentences as the task cards in set 2; however these 12 cards ask students to complete the subordinate clause at the end of the sentence.

Set 4- Commas in complex sentences- 12 multiple choice task cards asking students if the sentence needs a comma. If a comma is needed, students are asked where to insert the comma. This section includes a recording sheet and answer key.
