Vowel Digraphs & Vowel diphthongs
These flashcards provide students with practice reading parts of words that include vowel digraphs, and vowel diphthongs. This activity helps build fluency in struggling readers, and with repeated practice will increase decoding, word recognition, and fluency.
*I placed the flashcards on a binder ring for each of my students. When we learned a new vowel digraph or diphthong in our curriculum, I added cards with that pattern to each student's ring.

My own education history
I attended Kansas State University (Go Cats!) where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Special Education. I continued my education at Fort Hays State University and completed my Master's Degree in High Incidence Special Education.

I have a passion for providing my students with strategies to put in their "toolkits" to help them succeed in the general education curriculum. I love to share my ideas and strategies with other teachers who may be looking for a new idea to help a struggling student.
