Compound Sentence Sort! Compound Sentence Sort! Compound Sentence Sort!

Grades 1-3, Common Core Aligned. It's fun, hands-on and interactive!

Students will have a hands on approach to compound sentence building. First they'll cut, sort, and paste the sentences onto the provided Compound Sentence Sorting Page. Students are also asked to rewrite the sentences, underline the conjunction, color the comma and write 3 of their own sentences.

This interactive activity will remind them to paste the independent sentence, comma, conjunction and the ending sentence in the correct order. This packet is also a great review for punctuation.
