Description

I use these worksheets with elementary student working on using coordinating conjunctions. The coordinating conjunction "but" can be difficult to explain. This product has decreased my students' frustration as they learn to use and understand sentences with "but."

This activity is built as an expressive activity, scaffolding students' ability to construct their own compound sentences using sentence frames. However, it also builds comprehension, as students discuss each other's sentences and perfect their own. Use it as a worksheet, or laminate for repeated use.

I love these sentence frames! It can be difficult to prep materials for kiddos who are learning conjunctions, so I really appreciate these worksheets. I hope you make more for different conjunctions!
