These task cards help students practice combining compound subjects and predicates to create more precise writing and avoid choppy sentence writing. Four writing extension cards along with half-page writing paper templates come included to continue your students' practice of this grammar skill!
This pack includes:
1) Task Cards (p 4-12) - Task card cover, 3 review cards (2 for compound subjects & predicates and 1 for adding adjectives), 1 directions card, and 28 task cards in color.
2) Writing Prompt Cards (p 13) – 4 extension activities are included to provide additional writing practice.
2) Half-page writing paper templates (p 14-17) – can be used for students to respond to extension activities. Use them as a formative assessment. Great to display on bulletin boards!
3) Task Cards (p 18-26) - Task card set in B/W version
4) Answer Key (p 27-28 )
Great for centers, partner practice or small groups!

Great resource. My students loved all the Food Fight references.
My students really enjoyed this resource. The food fight theme on the task cards was motivating and engaging, as compound subjects and predicates can be a challenge to teach. The additional writing prompts were great as well. Excellent resource.
I use these task cards every year with my students to help them review for their test. They work with a partner to complete the task cards in a center format.
