Description
This is the PowerPoint I use during the first week of all of my computer applications classes. it introduces the definition of, basic functions of, and terms associated with computers.
Accompanying the PowerPoint is a notes sheet with blanks for students to fill in as they follow along with the PowerPoint. In addition, I've included a computer basics poem assignment that I give to students after the presentation. The assignment requires students to write poems using vocabulary words introduced in this unit. The poem is an activity that could easily be saved and included in a sub folder for a refresher later in the year.
**I also have this product listed along with my internal hardware unit that also includes a PowerPoint, notes, and an activity. Listed with the two lessons is a test for the unit with an answer key. The whole unit takes one to two weeks to cover, depending on how long your class periods are and how much class time you give to complete assignments.**
