This is the unit I use to introduce computer applications, or any computer-based class. The unit includes:
-2 PowerPoint presentations: Computer Basics and Internal Hardware
-2 fill-in-the-blank notes pages to accompany PowerPoints
-2 activities to reinforce presentations: a basic computer terms poem and an internal hardware analogy
-Unit test consisting of matching, multiple choice, and short answer discussion questions with a key for the matching and multiple choice
This unit usually takes five days in my block classes; I assume it could take up to two weeks in a shorter class, depending on how much class time is allotted for the activities.
