Description

Step-by-step directions guide students through:

  • how to use the when this sprite clicked event,
  • how to send broadcast events,
  • how to receive broadcast events,
  • when to use broadcast () and wait events.

This unit consists of three separate activities of increasing difficulty. Students create a different program in each activity and are then given prompts to demonstrate their learning by adding on to the program. Answer keys are included. The editable PowerPoint includes short embedded videos that demonstrate what the student program should be doing at certain points. They are encouraged to test and troubleshoot their code. Screenshots are from Scratch 3.0.
