Description

How many of your students have forgotten their password or the URL that you've been using for weeks? When this happens, students want the teacher to solve their problem by looking up the login, resetting a password, or even calling IT to change a Google password. Usually this happens when you are helping a student that really needs assistance. This reference card helps to eliminate that problem and put the responsibility back in your students' hands. When my students tell me "I can't log on!", my first response is, "Where is your Computer Login Card?"

Each time we add a website or online resource to our activities, students pull out their login cards and we complete them together. This has really saved me some frustration, and students know they have to have their login card if they want me to help. I also send a copy home so students can connect to online resources during non-school hours. It's part of helping them become computer literate.

This resource is a 2-sided editable document that used 1/2 sheet of paper/cardstock. There is room in the margin for a 3-hole binder punch. It can also be modified to fit a certain project with specific URLS, etc.
