I have found this book report form invaluable for teaching/reinforcing the elements of a story and making sure students fully understand a book. The format helps students feel less overwhelmed than a printed or typed assignment, and I am more likely to get work done by the students and not the parents. The report is worth a total of 25 points, or 4% for each point earned, so it is easy to grade!

This is a favorite writing activity of my students each year. It can be done in a basic fashion or a more complete project with an art and presentation component. This product takes you through the gathering, planning, and drafting phase of the writing process. Suggestions are given for differentiation and publishing. As always, this file is EDITABLE so you can modify it to meet your needs.

Because their binder goes home each day and parents sign to show completion, parents are aware of their child's current ability. This is a motivator

Along with our spelling lesson, I use this simple weekly spelling practice with students as a warm-up or sponge activity. It practices the spelling pattern along with cursive and ABC order. There is a simple one and a version that is more in depth, with daily choices. Editable :)

It's difficult to teach students higher level math when they don't know their basic facts. How can you hold kids accountable and motivate them to practice their math facts? Make it more visual by having them graph their success! We use this graph after students take their weekly 2 minute timed test on math facts. Everyone gets the same test (use any type with 100 problems). We correct using the overhead/projector. Students use this graph (kept in their binder or pasted into unused pages of their

How many of your students have forgotten their password or the URL that you've been using for weeks? When this happens, students want the teacher to solve their problem by looking up the login, resetting a password, or even calling IT to change a Google password. Usually this happens when you are helping a student that really needs assistance. This reference card helps to eliminate that problem and put the responsibility back in your students' hands. When my students tell me "I can't log on!",
