Description
It's difficult to teach students higher level math when they don't know their basic facts. This week long homework assignment fits on one page and is kept in students' binders during the week. There are two different levels, for beginning (3rd grade) and a higher level for those facts that most students find difficult to master (4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12). Because their binder goes home each day and parents sign to show completion, parents are aware of their child's current ability. This is a motivator for practicing facts at home. I give this weekly assignment once a month and it has improved my students' success!
