Conditional Probability Math Lib Activity
Students will practice finding conditional (given) probability with this “Math Lib” activity. This activity also includes four problems with two-way tables in which students must find conditional probability based on the information in the tables. Relative joint and marginal frequencies are given in some of the tables. Conditional probability notation with the bar is included on some problems. This activity is designed for high school level students studying conditional probability and two-way tables.
The answer at each of the 10 stations will give them a piece to a story (who, doing what, with who, where, when, etc.) This is a much more fun approach to multiple choice, and the students adore reading the story to the class. They get very excited to see which of their teachers is the "star" of the story.
EDIT ALL STORY ELEMENTS! All slides are given in an editable format so you are free to personalize the story for your students. PowerPoint is required to edit. Only story elements can be changed, not the actual problems.
