1. understand that contour maps show the features of a region,
2. understand how contour lines provide details of the elevation of features and structures,
3. learn how to use topographic maps to draw cross sections and to match topographic maps with landform cross sections.

My grade 4 students loved the interactive aspects of this lesson, and so do I! Thank you for creating this.
I had trouble with some of the interactive portions, but the information and practice is great! We completed these with whiteboard hold-ups and did a mini-quiz on notebook paper.
