Description
I always felt that kids had trouble understanding one step at a time. They just wanted to jump ahead but computers can only process one step at a time, so I decided that the kids could create complex animations in Python Turtle by controlling graphics using for loops.
Now, I didn't let them just do whatever they wanted. You can't design rubrics that way! They have to follow very tight rules to draw the backgrounds and animate only the objects when they move across the screen.
Isn't that really what programming is all about? Coding something within the specific parameters given by a client.
The kids have to code 4 different animations but the objects/backgrounds are of their own design. They also get to add text to their animations.
