Description

This lab uses Fun Size Milky Way candy bars to model the top layers of the Earth. Students identify and draw their interpretation of the model. Also includes a section on evaluating the model (vital to the Next Gen. Science Standards!) Fits very well in a science journal/interactive students notebook (ISN).

My students love when we use food as part of an activity. Great way for them to understand the different layers of earth.

Much better than using hard boiled eggs and the students always love candy. They really demonstrated the purpose of the activity in the end.
