Description
Students love jokes and they love solving puzzles. Combine the two and you have this donut cryptogram created by me!
I used this cryptogram activity with my third, fourth, and fifth graders. Once I explained how a cryptogram works, they were off to the races. Great for individual or working in small groups. The alphanumerical cryptic has them looking for the letters the number represent. Two letters/numbers are given as hints to get them started. Tips for solving cryptograms and an answer key is provided. Students asked me for more once they solved it, so I guess I'd better come up with some additional jokes!
This donut-themed joke is perfect for National Donut Day or any other donut-related activity. Use after a donut-related read-aloud with my Donut Fact or Opinion activity!
