Rise and Shine Math Binder for Kindergarten – Daily Number Recognition/Matching, Basic Calendar, Weather, & Birthday Routine

Start each school day with quick, but meaningful, hands-on math practice using the Rise and Shine Math Binder for Kindergarten! This engaging binder is designed to build strong number sense, basic calendar skills, and daily routines in a fun and consistent way.
Each student should have their own binder or folder (a cover page is included), with all templates laminated or placed in sheet protectors for dry-erase use. The binder includes four key sections:
Number Buddies Part 1 & 2 –
- Part 1: Students match object cards (0–9) to five different templates of mixed numerals.
- Part 2: Students match numeral cards (0–9) to object group templates.
Only one template from each part is used daily, providing spiraling number recognition practice. Matching cards are adorably themed and can be rotated throughout the year to keep things fresh and fun!
Weather Watchers – A daily weather check-in where students observe, record, and discuss the day's weather with icons & a brief sentence finisher.
Hello New Day – A calendar-focused routine where students discuss and circle days of the week, months of the year and seasons.
Hooray for Birthdays – Help students learn their birthdays while reinforcing months, dates, and counting with a touch of joy! This can be used in addition to your monthly birthday celebrations!
