2nd Grade Christmas Holiday Math Silly Story Task Cards

(color and black and white options available)

In this activity, students will review 2-digit addition with and without regrouping with the first set of task cards, 2-digit subtraction with and without regrouping with the second set, and place value with the third set of task cards.

The answers to the math questions will slowly reveal a silly story. Once students have answered all questions, the correct answers will have generated a silly story for students to read! Simply post the task cards around your classroom, allowing students to be up and moving while they solve math problems. Get ready to hear student giggles as they answer the math problems and begin to reveal the silly holiday themed story.

This resource includes:

• 3 different sets (each set includes 12 questions)
• a digital version (both google slides and seesaw versions are available)
• black and white option so you can print on colored paper to save ink

Skills included are:

• 2-Digit Addition no Regrouping AND 2-Digit Addition with Regrouping (there's two different versions in case your students aren't ready for regrouping)
• 2-Digit Subtraction no Regrouping AND 2-Digit Subtraction with Regrouping (there's two different versions in case your students aren't ready for regrouping)
