Decimal Place Value Memory (Number/Number Word Matching Game)
Share

Description

This is a fun activity that can be used for practice and reinforcement with place value concepts using decimals to the tenths, hundredths and thousandths.

The place value concepts go from billions to thousandths. I use it with fifth grade but it could easily be adapted to fourth or sixth and seventh. I have a similar game for lower grades available for free from this website, as well.

It is played in traditional "memory" style. Students turn the cards face down and take turns attempting to match numbers with their correct word form.

It could also be played individually. I use it as a warm-up game, review game, or choice board activity in my classroom.

If you have any questions, please email me: jen22577@yahoo.com. I will happy to answer any questions. If you purchase and are able to use this in your classroom, please come back and leave feedback. I would also appreciate any comments or suggestions! Thanks for looking!

This is a great product! I purchased it for use in my fifth grade classroom during math block. I use it to develop and strengthen my students' place value understanding during small group instruction. This is a great center resource! If you're looking for a highly engaging and fun, yet cognitively demanding activity: Look no further, this is it!
