Are you looking for a list of open syllable words? As a special education teacher, I am always looking for ways to make progress monitoring as simple as possible. When looking for tools for progress monitoring IEP goals, I need something that will save me time each week. That is why I created these progress monitoring assessments for decoding and encoding! Can you imagine having a year’s worth of assessments at your finger tips?

If many of your students have IEP goals for decoding and encoding, these assessments are just what you need to track their growth. This pack provides you with student and teacher versions of 40 lists! Never again will you have ten different books with tabs sticking out trying to mark where each student should be monitored. Simply print this product, and you are ready to go! Each time you need to progress monitor for decoding, you will have space to mark if the student was correct and record any mistakes. For encoding, you will have ten words for the student to spell. You could use the provided three-lined paper or any page of your own that meets your students’ needs.
