Do you need a quick way to know what your students understand about integer addition? And maybe ANOTHER version of the quiz to use for those kids that didn’t quite have it the first time? And would it be helpful for the quiz to give your kids actionable feedback on questions they missed? This digital quiz is just what you’re looking for!

These Google Forms quizzes are a great way to see if your students understand how to add integers so you can make the right decision about whether your class is ready to move on. There are parallel versions of the quiz. This allows you to have different versions for different classes, or to have a second version to use with students who needed a little bit more help.  

Another great feature of these quizzes is that some questions have built-in, actionable feedback for students who miss the question. For example0, a student that misses the question -25 + -30, gets this message, “You are combining 25 negatives with 30 negatives…how many negatives do you have?” 

Question topics include

✍Adding integers or rational numbers

✍Additive inverse or opposites

✍Modeling integer addition using chips and horizontal number lines
