Description

This no-prep distance learning Google slideshow has everything your students need to practice asking and answering questions about an informational text. They will ask questions about a topic and use an informational text to find the answers. They will cite text evidence to support their answers and make inferences when the answer isn’t directly stated in the text.

Assign the slideshow to your students at the beginning of the week. There are activities for Monday through Friday.

  • For the first 3 days, the students will watch a video or do an activity to practice the strategy. Then, they will read independently and apply the strategy. If students don’t have a lot of books at home, they can read on Epic, Rivet, or another website that has books online.

  • On Day 4, the students will listen to a book and answer questions to apply the week’s standard.

  • On Day 5, the students will complete an assessment to check for mastery of the standard.

*THE ASSESSMENT INCLUDED IN THIS PRODUCT IS ALSO PART OF MY FOURTH GRADE READING LITERATURE STANDARD ASSESSMENTS PRODUCT.*

I used this resource to help me at the beginning of the year, when introducing different reading strategies and skills to students. It helped with remote learning situations as well.
