Distance Learning: Making Ten Addition Unit- Spring

*You must leave the slides in edit mode in order for students to complete the addition activities.

THIS PRODUCT INCLUDES:

5 activities to practice addition to 10.

1. Flower Ten Frames

2. Raindrop Fact Families

3. Make Ten Rainbow

4. Hop to Ten Number Line

5. Make Ten Linking Cubes

HOW TO USE DISTANCE LEARNING: MAKING TEN:

You will make a copy of the slide for each student (I suggest changing the title to include their name).

Flower Ten Frames: The ten frames are partly filled in. Students will move flowers to fill in the rest of the ten frame. Students will count how many flowers they moved to complete the ten frame. Students will then complete the addition sentence above the ten frame by moving the box with the correct number.

Raindrop Fact Families: Students will move numbered raindrops on top of blank raindrops to complete the addition and subtraction sentences for the fact family.

Make Ten Rainbow: On the left side of the rainbow, each color as a number. Students will move the remaining numbers into place on the right side of the rainbow. Each color number pair should make ten.

Hop to Ten Number Line: Students are given an addition sentence with a missing part. A bunny is placed on the number line ready to count the rest of the way to ten. Students will hop there bunny to ten on the number line. Then, they will move the correct number box to complete the addition sentence.

Making Ten Linking Cubes: Students are given an addition sentence with a missing part. Linking cubes are placed together to represent the sentence. Students will add more linking cubes to make ten. Then, students will move the correct number box to complete the addition sentence.

Thank you for this great resource! I used a selection of slides at a time each day for Make 10 practice. They were a great way to reinforce the Make 10 strategy and reinforce there are different tools we can use to Make 10.
