Can't wait to use this in my in person classroom but this will be great virtually as the srtudents have space to work and I can grade it right then and there and track their progress!!

Week of Math Vocabulary Activities/Games:

COMPLETELY Editable-can use literacy, math, science, social studies etc. vocab words. Seesaw link provided for exact example in the PPT. In this file you will see 10 3rd grade math academic vocabulary words chosen for students to work on for the week. The students will be looking up dictionary definitions of 10 targeted tier 2 and tier 3 academic vocabulary words a week. Day 1: Look up the words in a child’s dictionary Day 2: Write down the word, in a sentence and draw a picture/example of each word Day 3: Students create an at home concentration game to play Day 4: Traschcan Basketball with word problems with vocabulary words Day 5: Play Catch phrase with a friend or family member at home in person or via facetime

Pizza Fraction Project:

Creating fractions, comparing fractions, fraction word problems, creating word problems, elapsed time, telling time and graphing! If your students find themselves ordering take out pizza during this time have them keep the box and do the project with it! Makes it more realistic and definitely more engaging and fun! I have chosen standards we have worked on in Bridges math in 3rd grade so far that encompass a bunch of different skills. There is an embedded Seessaw link if you would like your students to do it all online on their seesaw account OR you can print it for parents for them to pick up at your school OR email it to them to print at home for their child to do. Lots of options! It also includes a link for easy little pizzas the kids could potentially make at home to incorporate fractions in the real form! Also there is a rubric at the end for grading!
