Description

Home Learning, project-based activities, perfect for when in lockdown due to COVID-19 and social distancing.

This is an 'island exploration'-themed, distance learning project that will be used whilst the children are off school. This resource spreads across 7 tasks (these could be set weekly or daily) which last for an hour each. The activities see children landing on a tropical island- they'll need to draw a map, write an instruction text to build a shelter, write a play script of a meeting with an island inhabitant and much more!

This download includes:

- PDF version of the 7-task home learning project

- Word Document version of the home learning project

- 3 fonts for editing .docx Word documents

US: This task would work great with 2nd - 6th Grade.

England: This task would work great for KS2 (Key Stage 2) and it fits in with the Year 3 national curriculum expectation

Hi Stephanie! Thank you for your review! They're hard to come by on here, it seems :) I'm so glad that you and your fifth graders enjoyed the project- the ideas they come up with are amazing, aren't they! Is there anything that could have been improved to boost that review up to 5 stars? I'm always looking for ways to enhance the resources I offer, and I'd hate to think I'd continue selling it if it was lacking something that may help other educators! Thank you in advance, ~ Lauren @ Lost in Learning

I'm currently using this with my class... after the Apocalypse project went down so well with the slightly older kids, I'm trying this with the young ones, and it's just as good. I normally favor more established TpT'ers, but I'm so impressed with this newbie... she knows exactly what she's doing and I look forward to seeing what else she's got :)
