Description
This no-prep distance learning Google slideshow has everything your students need to practice summarizing a text and identifying its theme.
Assign the slideshow to your students at the beginning of the week. There are activities for Monday through Friday.
- For the first 3 days, the students will watch a video or do an activity to practice the strategy. Then, they will read independently and apply the strategy. If students don’t have a lot of books at home, they can read on Epic, Rivet, or another website that has books online.
- On Day 4, the students will listen to a book and answer questions to apply the week’s standard.
- On Day 5, the students will complete an assessment to check for mastery of the standard.
- Be sure to check out the digital learning slideshows for other standards.
