Description

This deck of interactive slides targets the tricky skill of answering wh questions about text. The "text" in this entire deck is ONE SENTENCE. Students read the one sentence, are then asked a "wh-question" about it and have to choose the answer from a field of 3 (visual answers included). There are TWO levels in this resource. One level has choices that have no distracting answers and the answers are directly in the sentence (i.e. Mr. Bob's job is a fireman. What is Mr. Bob's job?). The second level has distracting answer choices and/or requires some inferencing to answer the question (i.e. Mr. Bob drives a firetruck. What is Mr. Bob's job?).

The "wh-questions" included are who questions, what questions, and where questions. Each level of each question has 12 slides included. So there are 72 slides in all to practice this skill.

This is an interactive PDF. Students answer the questions by touching the correct answer via a touchscreen or clicking it on a computer. This can be opened on any device with an ability to open PDF's (smartphones, tablets, computers) and once downloaded can be accessed without wifi! This is a perfect resource to purchase for distance learning now and can easily be used in the classroom next year!

Such a great resource to help teach comprehension and language skills to my students. I teach kids with autism, so the visuals and their ability to interact with the activity, helped engage them.

During school closures, this activity was so useful! Perfect activity to differentiate instruction for students who require visuals when answering WH questions. Thank you!
