Description
The ability to subitize (or instantly recognize without counting) is an important part of early numeracy. These dominoes were designed with dot patterns that enable students to subitize the large amounts on dominoes by organizing the dots into "five and some more." In traditional dominoes, children end up counting to determine the number on large sets because the dots are not organized in a manner enabling children to subitize. By organizing them around the fives, children are able to know a domino shows 7 because they instantly see the 5 and 2. This set contains Double Zero through Double Ten. Print them out on card stock and use them for all your domino activities.
