Description

I use a “write about reading” activity as part of my Work on Writing station each week. On Monday, I read the book as a read aloud. (If you don’t have the book, check to see if it is read on You Tube!) Then we discuss the prompt as a whole group and/or with partners so students will be able to work independently. Sometimes I record ideas on chart paper. This is helpful to put by the writing station so students can refer to it. You can use this as a stand alone worksheet or edit the cover with your name, grade, year and bind everyone’s writing into a class book. This is what I did! We made enough different class books throughout the year so at the end of the year everyone was able to take one home. You can use any font but if you want my same formatting use KG Neatly Printed. I love her fonts and this font is free on TpT. During the year the class books are available for kids to read…which they love! There are three types of paper. Choose the lines that work best for your students.
