Be sure your school district gives students access to documents from outside of your school district.

2. Early Humans Choice Board Project
This product includes a menu of nine ranked and varied activities that can be used as a formative or summative assessment. Activities are assigned points, students choose their activities to add up to 16 points or more. Read the information below and view the preview for a more detailed look!

- Create a slideshow that describes some of the changes that occurred in the way people lived as they changed from a nomadic to a settled way of life and hypothesize what would happen to nomads if they didn’t adapt to their environments. 5 slides minimum.
- Write a poem that explains how hunter-gatherers adapted to their environments and info about how cave paintings were an art form of early humans. 10 line minimum. Rhyming is optional.
- Write a news article that explains how Lucy was discovered and the impact of the discovery. Describe her condition when found and what scientists report about her discovery. Include images. 2 paragraphs minimum.
