This mini-lesson will help you teach your class about Earth Day and the importance of taking care of the earth. We have included resources that allow you to spend as much time as your day allows. There is a multitude of Earth Day videos and books to choose from. Don't take your time to weed through them all, we have done that for you!
You will find suggestions for short, engaging videos, wonderful picture books, and simple, fun follow-up activities.
We have included 3 different hand form worksheets with the prompts:
I can help the earth by reusing…
I can help the earth by recycling…
I can help the earth by reducing…
Your students may complete one, two, or all three of the prompts.
You can either:
make a display of the hands by arranging them in a large circle on your classroom walls to resemble the earth,
-OR-
make a class book.
