What is the resource?
- This resource includes 10, 10-minute skill-building exercises to help your students build self-direction skills.
- A Google Slides digital option is included as is a printable version.
- The Google Slides version is 100% editable. Change the prompts or add your own!
How to Use this Resource:
- As morning work
- As end-of-the-day exercises
- In a skills class
- For early finishers
- As part of the curriculum for student-led learning environments
How to Distribute the Resource:
- Display exercise prompts on a screen for the entire class to view.
- Share the Google Slides copy with your students to view on their own computers.
- Print and distribute a copy of the resource to each student.
- Print one copy of each exercise, laminate them, and place them at stations around the room.
Why use this resource?
To give your students the tools to take responsibility for learning - they learn to develop goals, reflect, ask questions, manage their time, prioritize tasks, and more. Empower learners!
