Description
This year I am in a new school and a new district. I have more classes than I'm used to having, and I see them way less than I'm used to as well. This has left me feeling constantly crunched for time and completely inconsistent. I can NEVER remember what the last thing we did in each class and as every teacher knows consistency is VITAL for our students. So today I created this in hopes of getting a little more organized for both the sake of the well me and my students.
This is a super simple table chart. It is editable for both the text, fonts, number of lines and formatting, and color. However, if you want the same header font that I used, see Kimberly Geswein's store for the font "KG Say Something."
There is a table for each grade level I teach. To the right hand side of the table are three smaller boxes. I put a single letter at the top- this stands for the teacher. If that teacher's class completes something, I put a check mark in that box so I can easily remember where each class left off. I have some classes that are blended (i.e. K/1st class) which is why some tables have more boxes than others. However, it is again customizable for your individual needs.
I also have all materials on a separate page. Once my day starts, I don't have enough time in between classes to get out and put materials away. Therefore, it's WAY easier for me to just look at my list before school and have it all ready to go. Again- that doesn't mean that's how you have to keep it.
If you find a magical way to use this that absolutely changes your life- please share! I am happily accepting any pointers to make my classroom function smoothly. :)
