I created this worksheet to show some of my high school students why multiplying a positive fraction less than one by another positive fraction less than one results in a smaller number than either of the starting fractions. We were studying exponential functions, and the students were learning to identify what part of an exponential equation would indicate whether the function would be growth or decay.
