"My students loved this, and it really helped solidify what they already learned about electric fields. The worksheet was overwhelming for my dyslexic students, but I had them work in pairs with more confident readers. This resource was a hit!"

Description

Simulation by PhET Interactive Simulations, University of Colorado Boulder, licensed under CC-BY 4.0. This is a simple inquiry-based lab that I love to give students as an intro to Electric Fields. Students will figure out for themselves conceptual problems involving Electric Field. They will get the basic idea of the net Electric field and how charges move around within an electric field. Everything is fully editable.

Students will:

- Learn through play

- Have guided questions to direct learning

- Discuss and Hypothesize

- Come up with Conclusions

- Be a part of real-world applications for Electric Fields

Develop and use a model of two objects interacting through electric or magnetic fields to illustrate the forces between objects and the changes in energy of the objects due to the interaction. Examples of models could include drawings, diagrams, and texts, such as drawings of what happens when two charges of opposite polarity are near each other. Assessment is limited to systems containing two objects.
