Description
This resource of parent letters and print-and-play games or activities will help you support your families while teaching First Grade Module 6.
What's Included?
* A letter to parents for each topic A through G within module 6 (as of 7-29-18 Module 6 is now available in both English AND Spanish versions),
* Corresponding engaging games or activities to send home with the letter (send one or more or choose to use some in class) for students to practice skills taught in class within each topic - games require no fancy set up... students will need to be taught how to use a pencil and paper clip on the spinners. A paper clip is the only requirement for game play on some pages. Simply print and play! Scissors and/or glue are the only requirement for some of the activities.
Games/Activities are as follows:
Topic A - 3 choices
Topic B - 6 choices
Topic C - 5 choices
Topic D - 2 choices plus an Addition Strategies Handout for parents to keep as a reference
Topic E - 5 choices
Topic F - 3 choices
Topic G - 2 print outs to send home with the letter for game ideas/suggestions within the topic G letter. One is a Race to the Top paper and the other has number cards that can be cut out and used for a suggested subtraction game. The letter for topic F explains how to play 4 different games, 2 of which require nothing more than dice and paper. :)
Spanish Version Note: A buyer named Elena contacted me to make me aware there are several mistakes in the Spanish versions (she is only in the process of checking Module 1 as of 7-29-18). I apologize profusely for the errors and had no idea. :( I will not be hiring that translator again in the future. Elena is a 1st grade teacher at a dual immersion school and her school has purchased ENY materials in Spanish so she is going to compare the wording on several key terms with those materials. PLEASE CHECK BACK FREQUENTLY FOR UPDATES. I will get them to you as quickly as I can!! Thank you!!

I absolutely love this resource. I used some of the games during our intervention time. I also sent the resource home with students so that they could practice the skills at home with their families. Parents have greatly appreciated these so they can use the same vocabulary at home and even have a fun way to learn with them.
