Building Objects and The Engineering Process Task Cards with Reading Passage align with 2nd Grade NGSS Physical Science (2-PS1-3 and PS1.A) NGSS Engineering Design Standards (K-2-ETS1-1, ETS1.A).

24 engaging Physical Science Task Cards help students understand how an object made of a small set of pieces can be disassembled and made into a new object. A great variety of objects can be built from a small set of pieces. A digital version powered by Boom Learning is also included.

Students are introduced to The Engineering Process. Before beginning to design a solution, it is important to clearly understand the problem. Asking questions, making observations, and gathering information are helpful in thinking about problems.
